Emigrants from Sola in Rogaland.

In relation to the emigration jubilee next year, I'm gathering material for a small book about the people from the Sola municipality in Rogaland that emigrated to America.

I'm looking for people that emigrated from Sola to Amerika, any time, their relatives or friends. We know of 1712 persones that emigrated to America between 1844 and 1930. This will be a gathering of the stories of some of these brave men, women and children. Help me honour them by sending me, preferably a story with a picture or two. Otherwise send me the information you have and we will write the story, for your later approval. This will not only be a story about success, but about the average man and woman that help build the new country they now called theirs. Let us not forget those that after a few, or many years, for various reasons returned to the old country (like my great great grandfather).
